Review: H.E.R.

H.E.R’s debut album merges two previously released EP’s named ‘Volume ‘1 and ‘Volume 2’ to create over an hours worth of seductively indulgent RnB.

With a sound beyond her years, H.E.R’s tracks exude the same mystery that she uses to conceal her identity. The name H.E.R is an acronym for “Having Everything Revealed” which she expresses through music instead of her physical self. Through reflective and sincere lyrical content, H.E.R touches themes such as love, heartbreak and personal growth. She depicts herself as a strong female role model, who is able to not only empower herself but also her listeners.

With a deliciously rich tone and versatile range, H.E.R’s voice soars or stays smooth in the listener’s ears. Soulful harmonies and moody 808’s set the perfect Electronic RnB landscape, slotting into any late night playlist with ease.
